About This Spot

Walking into Bonney's Burgers in Anderson feels a bit like stepping back into a simpler time, where the pace slows just enough to savor good company and honest food. This is a casual local eatery that wears its heart on its sleeve — no frills, no fuss, just a warm spot that welcomes you with the familiar hum of conversations and the enticing aroma of burgers sizzling on the grill.

The atmosphere carries the comfortable charm of a neighborhood staple. Walls decorated with nostalgic touches and a relaxed rhythm invite guests to settle in, whether for a quick lunch break or a laid-back dinner with friends. It’s the kind of place that encourages lingering, where people smile as they talk and the staff greet you by name or with a genuine “how’s your day going?”

The menu here feels like a love letter to the classic American burger stand, but with just enough personality to keep it fresh. The burgers — hand-pressed in-house — arrive with a balance of flavors and textures that speak of care and tradition. The Super Jalapeño Burger, for instance, offers a lively kick that brightens the familiar comfort of the sesame-seeded bun, while the Western Burger embraces smoky, savory notes that feel like a backyard cookout in every bite.

Sides are more than an afterthought at Bonney’s. Crispy, well-seasoned fries and golden fried mushrooms make their presence known as worthy companions, making the table feel complete without ever overpowering the star of the show—the burger. For those moments when you want something extra, the battered fried pickles or the house-dipped zucchini sticks add just the right amount of crunch and tang.

There’s an honest friendliness here that reflects the community’s spirit. The staff effortlessly balances attentiveness with an easygoing warmth that makes each visit feel less like service and more like sharing a meal with friends who know what you like. It’s a place where the simple act of ordering a burger sparks genuine human connection.

Bonney’s Burgers isn’t chasing trends or shouting for attention. Instead, it offers a steady, grounded experience — a reminder of why local burger joints remain beloved. Whether you’re revisiting a childhood favorite or discovering the spot for the first time, it’s a humble corner of Anderson where good food and friendly faces combine to create something quietly special.

Awesome Boney burger and crinkle cut fries. Just as good as when we ate here as kids, 45 years ago!

We ended up at Bonnie’s on MLK day because almost nothing else was open. It was SO worth it! Incredible burgers and fries, great service and the perfect burger joint atmosphere. It’s not fancy, it’s reminiscent of The Shack back in the day. Clean, comfy, cool stuff on the walls. AND if you miss The Pac Out’s sauce, Bonnie’s burger sauce will bring some happiness to your day.

I haven't ate here yet, I was just a dasher. But it is a nice environment, an older feel but I love that. Also the owners were cool, friendly and easy to just talk to. I will have to try the food soon

Little Mom & Pop joint with a nice view of the area mountains! Their burgers are tasty! Fresh toppings, fresh meat, good portion! Slightly higher price than expecting, but my belly was full when my meal was gone, so that’s nice!
